About Dr. Neha Tiwari
A PhD scholar who teaches Sociology the way UPSC marks it
Most aspirants meet Sociology through summaries and notes. Dr. Neha Tiwari’s doctoral training means she starts somewhere else: with what Durkheim, Weber, Marx, Srinivas and Béteille actually wrote, the debates around them, and the research methods behind their claims. That depth is what lets her explain a thinker simply without flattening the idea – and that depth is what makes a Sociology answer stand out from an average one.
Over the years she has mentored many UPSC aspirants – engineers, doctors, commerce and humanities graduates, working professionals and first-time candidates – most of whom met Sociology for the first time in her class. Her mentoring does not stop at the lecture: she follows students through answer writing, tests, evaluation and revision, and adjusts the plan to where each of them is losing marks.
At L2A IAS she runs the complete Sociology Optional programme: the foundation course for CSE 2027, the test series, daily answer writing and PYQ programmes – in the Delhi classroom, live online and recorded.
